Tattoo festivals, bagpipes, haggis, castles, kilts, Braveheart … All that we had expected of Scotland and so much more!
From the very start, it seemed impossible to get to Edinburgh. We were uncertain about dates and accommodation, we thought we might volunteer on Logos Hope for maybe a week, we were indecisive about flying up there or take our time to get there instead.
We choose to rent a car. And the crazy cycle begins. The wife is blamed for assuming a GPS will be provided and the husband is blamed for not double checking a GPS will be provided. PPS became our only tool out of central London (prayer positioning service, ie. God save us and lead us out of here!)
The views as we drove out of the city and further up north into Edinburgh were beautiful, so picturesque. We took in calendar-esque views and probably photographed every sheep, hill, tree, cottage, lonely road and any old building that remotely historic.
The main reason we came up to Edinburgh was to see friends on Logos Hope. It was also a great privilege to tour this mighty vessel of blessings. Craig was duly impressed by the ship’s ministry and by the coffee served on board!
